GEO Specialty Chemicals’ CEO Wins Award;
Company Expands Research with USM
l George Ahearn, CEO of GEO Specialty Chemicals, Cleveland, OH, has been named Cleveland Entrepreneur of the Year (in the manufacturing category). The award is part of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year program which culminates at a national awards ceremony in November.
GEO Specialty Chemicals has also entered into an agreement with University of Southern Mississippi’s International Coatings and Formulation Institute (ICFI). Through the accord, GEO is a new member of ICFI and is funding a joint and proprietary research program focused on developing the next generation of environmentally friendly waterborne polyurethane dispersions. Another phase of the program centers on application areas.
